Night Sky
Don't miss the show! This year's Leonid Meteor Shower should be especially cool - churning out 500 shooting stars an hour due to the Earth's central location in the ancient comet's pebbly wake. No binoculars needed. The best nights for viewing are November 17-18. Let's hope for clear skies.

Ant Farm
BE and CO just fed the ants in our ant farm a piece of apple - the ants seem to like apples better than carrots.
Cove Weather Station
This is our new weather station. You can go to our home page and click on current weather to find out the temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed, and humidity. We're excited because you can see it when you look out our kindergarten window. It's especially fun to watch the anemometer spin as it measures wind speed. K-1 travels to Australia on Monday and we're going to compare the weather in Cove to the weather in Sydney, Australia. Our Australia unit will last through the holidays and into the new year - it's a big continent with lots of interesting people and animals.
Sugar Pop
Meet Sugar Pop, our guinea pig. He was born last spring and he even had a broken leg when he was a baby! He loves to eat carrots and other vegetables. He turns his nose up when we try to feed him celery! Can you find him hidden in the block structure?

Kindergarten Math Tubs
Kindergarten math is very "hands-on" and we love it! Children use many different manipulatives in our K-2 Bridges in Mathematics program published by Math Learning Center. Take a look at all the happy faces busy doing MATH... it is one of our favorite times in the day.
