Santa Claus is comin' to town...
"We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year."

Mrs. G - we love you too!
Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright...

Stone Soup

AP cutting potatoes for stone soup. We read several versions of the folktale Stone Soup; then we talked about everyone bringing something to put into the pot to make our own stone soup. Each child brought a vegetable for stone soup and a fruit for fruit salad. We also made pumpkin scones and rolls for our dinner. We shared our meal with our first grade friends and 5th grade science buddies. First graders made fruit salad, stone soup, and pumpkin pie cake. Mr. Macke, Cove science teacher, provides us with the magical stone for our soup!
This stone soup looks good enough to eat.

AR chooses fruit salad.
CV and KR enjoying their cooking!
AP and BB enoying the dinner that helped to prepare.
