Snowman Snack
JM makes his snowman snack. He's using bananas for the snowballs, an apple and grape for the hat, chocolate chips for the buttons and the face, and pretzels for the arms. Yum...
How many letters in your name?
We made snowgirls! We used as many snowballs as the number of letter in our names. Stop by school and see all of our snow people above our lockers in the hallway.
BOXES
We have 12 boxes that we are using for many different things - tables and chairs, forts, cars, packages... whatever we can imagine. We've loaded and unloaded them in our covered wagon many, many times! Here we've stacked them into a tall tower.
Look Ma, No Cavities!
The ODS dental hygentist students visit Cove to get experience checking teeth. This is a free service provided to our students.

Do You Flip?
Guess what we got for Christmas? Well, not really, but it sure felt like it! We got 2 new flip cameras in kindergarten. The 7th graders came to kindergarten today to show us how to use them and oh, what fun we had!
New Student
We have a new student in kindergarten. AV moved to Cove from California. We're so happy that he's here!
Lockdown Drill
Today we practiced a lockdown drill. The procedure is for Mrs. V to lock our classroom door, pull down the shades, count the kindergartners to make sure everyone is safe, and then we need to continue with our routine VERY QUIETLY. Your children did a fantastic job during our practice. I had time to walk around and provide you with a snapshot of kindergarten activities during our lockdown. Enjoy... there's Lego aircraft.

FROZEN KIDS AND FROZEN TREATS
It's freezing outside - it was 7 degrees when we put our juice outside to see if it would freeze enough to make popcicles. And it was cold enough - we went out an hour and a half later to find these frozen treats. Some weren't completely frozen but most were popcicles!
