FINN RIGGINS

Finn Riggins plays upbeat rock music at Cove. Did you watch the GoPro ad during the Super Bowl? The snowboarding was set to a Finn Riggins song, Wake.
LP records the music on a Flip Video.
CK adds his video clip.
How did you get the name Finn Riggins? We named ourselves after 2 small towns in Idaho not unlike Cove. Fenn and Riggins. We wanted our name to be like a book character who goes on musical adventures.
What kind of drum is that? Good question, it's a steel drum made in the Carribean. It's made from an old oil drum; each note is pounded out and marked on the inside.
EH liked the "pancake song" while MH liked the "snowboarding music".
CR adds a little more to our Finn Riggins video.
How did you discover you could play chips and salsa? Just by drumming on whatever was available. I liked the sound. You know, anything can be a drum...
Who is the leader of the group? I AM.
Actually, we're like a democracy and everyone gets a vote... we all lead in different areas. We work together and listen to each other.
one, zero, zero, one, one, one, zero, zero, one...

What's your favorite song? Happy Birthday!
No, we like all our songs equally and for different reasons.
Kind of like, how you all like of your brothers and sisters equally.
Working the keyboard...
Check out Finn Riggins on the internet at http://www.finnriggins.com/
Kinders especially liked the videos for Dali (the mustache song) and Wake (the fuzzy balls song). Want to see them play chips and salsa? Watch, Wake in the green room.
We made pompom pins to wear to the concert.
How did the balls change color when they came out of your mouth?
It was a stop action video so we put the pompoms in our mouth very slowly and the camera man took a lot of photos and then put the photos together so it looked like we put one color in our mouth and another color came out.

Sugar Pop

Oh, that Sugar Pop! He's helping with a snowflake dot to dot... No, I think he's eating celery.

Amaryllis

Our amaryllis bloomed on Valentine's Day! We're still waiting for the other amaryllis to grow a little taller.
One week later...

Valentine's Day

The boys are mailing their valentines.
We frosted our own valentine cookies for snack. CR seems to be enjoying his cookie.
EH's cookie is finger lickin' good.
Look at this valentine... I think the sucker has gum inside!
AH checks out all her valentines.
Thanks... I like this one!
Hmmm... I wonder who sent me this valentine?

Stick Bugs

We had a surprise this morning... we discovered our stick bugs had babies! The top of the cage was covered in babies - too many to count! Our stick bugs are about 5 inches long with another 2 1/2 inches of antennae but the new babies are only about 1/2 inch.
MH is misting the stick bug babies. Our stick bugs like to be misted - that's how they get the water they need. They also eat blackberry or raspberry brambles.

Emperor Penguins

Adult Emperor penguins are about 4 feet tall. How do you compare? Are you taller or smaller than the largest penguin in Antarctica?
He looks pretty big to me.
We think that SB is just the right size to be an Emperor Penguin.
