The kindergarten girls are looking very pretty.

Gingerbread Science

Look at JN's gingerbread man after he put it in water. It disolved in the bottom of his cup!
EH is checking her gingerbread cookie...
Can you see JL's gingerbread cookie? I wonder what will happen? Kindergartners were very excited about their experiment. In the story of the gingerbread man he rides on the fox's back to keep from getting wet, so we decided to find out what happens to gingerbread when it does get wet. Here is what we discovered: He crushed up into little pieces... he broke into pieces... he got slimy but when I took him out of the water he broke... he stayed together until I put my hand in the water... the water turned green and he got mushy.. when I took it out it broke... smushed and broke into little pieces... only the part I put in the water broke off...

Reindeer Toast

Today we made reindeer toast. First we spread peanut butter on the toast, then we added raisin or chocolate chip eyes, a cherry nose, and pretzel antlers.
Yum... good!
JL and CK show off their reindeer toast!
NP enjoys his toast.
Hey, we're pretty good cooks...
Yummy. After we finished eating our reindeer toast we made glyphs that told something about us - how old we are, if we like peanut butter, if we like chocolate chips or raisins, and if we are a girl or boy. Stop in at school and see our reindeer in the hallway.

Traveling Gingerbread Men

SB is getting her gingerbread man letter ready to mail. We send gingerbread men all over the United States and we hope to get some postcards back in the mail that tell where our gingerbread men traveled.
NP is signing his gingerbread man letter. I wonder where he'll send it?
NP working at the building station. He's building a plane for his little brother.
The girls are coloring and cutting out gingerbread cookies and gingerbread houses at the writing station.

Christmas Light Necklaces

FR is working on a pattern for her necklace. Later we will add the letters in her name.
AH helps MH put her Christmas light necklace together.
I love the patterns. Green, yellow and green, red. Good job girls!
We like our necklaces!
Ugh, girls can be so-o-o silly...
No more jack-o-lanterns in our classroom. The mold ate right through the plastic sack and made a huge mess, and oh, did it ever smell BAD!
