And in our room a RAINFOREST grew...

This wall is our rainforest where we put the kapok tree - we made our tree
look like Eric Carle's in "Slowly, Slowly, Slowly" said the Sloth.

We have large leaves hangin in our classroom - they have green tree frogs,
flowers, chameleons, ants, and toucans on them!

This jaguar is walking along the Amazon River.

Our sloth and sloth facts are hanging near the kapok tree
as you enter our classroom.

Watch out!  Piranhas are swimming in the Amazon!

A pair of friendly Keel-billed Toucans.

An actual bromeliad...  Rainforest frogs will put their tadpoles in the pools
of a bromeliad high in the canopy of the rainforest.
Our K-1 students also did research on plants of the rainforest.
You can check it out on our webpage - look for Rainforest Slideshow.

Did you know that jaguars are good swimmers?

What would your face look like if you were eaten by a boa constrictor?
Check out our faces!!
